Тема: «Reading…? Why not? »
Literary Britain.
Цель: практическая: Совершенствовать навыки устной речи учащихся.
развивающая: 1. Развитие навыков чтения с общим охватом содержания.
2. Развитие навыков аудирования с извлечением нужной
информации.
воспитательная: Воспитывать у учащихся любовь к английской литературе,
уважение к культуре страны изучаемого языка.
Оборудование: карта Великобритании, портреты знаменитых британских
писателей, мультимедиа.
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент урока.
Т.: Hello, everybody! Look at the title of our lesson. When we learn English, speak English we
should not forget about British literature, we should be proud of it and ready to tell, for example,
about great British writers. So, the topic of lesson 1 is “Literary Britain” and later we will also
speak about famous British writers. Let’s start.
II. Речевая зарядка.
T.: There are a lot of famous writers in the world. British literature is very rich in them too.
What famous British writers do you know? What are their best works? What are they famous
for?
P.: I agree with you. There are a lot of famous writers in the UK. But the famous British writer
is Shakespeare.
T.: What places in London is connected with William Shakespeare? Have you read some books
of Shakespeare?
P.: Stratford on Avon is known as W. Shakespeare’s birthplace.
III. Развитие навыков аудирования с извлечением нужной информации.
T.: Listen to the text about Literary Britain” and answer 5 questions: What literary places
are there in London? What places of interest are connected with the name of Shakespeare?
What literary places are there in London? What literary places are connected with Wales?
What writers made Bath a famous literary place?
Pupils answer the following questions.
