School is that very place

where we get knowledge and life experience, learn to make decisions and solve the problems… School is that very place

where we spend our childhood and become adults…

No doubt, school is our second home.

Every year schools greet newcomers and say goodbye to leavers. Generation by generation …. each school creates its own history….

The history of Ponurovskaya school is rooted in the distant years when the majority of schools were parish and elementary.

After that in order to continue their studying children had to go on foot to another school in the nearest village.

It’s a fact that not so many children could finish their studying or even start their studying at all. The lack of transport, bad living conditions were just a few of the reasons. It was war time. Work , farming and housekeeping were of the primary importance. A great number of young people could hardly take 4year classes.

Nearby Secondary school was situated in Kovernino and education wasn’t free. Parents had to pay 150 roubles for their children’s studying. It was quite expensive.

Unfortunately, only some families were able to provide a complete education for their children.
