This is a special day for people to remember those who died in wars. This is
the day to remember your dead friends and relatives too. Lots of people go
to the cemeteries to visit the graves of their friends and relatives. They
usually leave flowers and candles there.
This holiday is always on Sunday. People give coloured or chocolate eggs to
each other. Sometimes the send cards. The Bunny is the symbol of this
holiday. Some big cities have parades, or arrange games and sport
competitions and, of cause, an egg hunt.
On this day families and friends meet for a meal. People usually make
resolutions (special promises) for a whole year, for example “ I will help my
parents more” or “ I will stop smoking”. There are always big parades in the
morning and a big football game in the afternoon. Families usually gather
together and watch them on television.
The year 1776 was the begging of a new life for the USA. In this day families
and friends gather together to celebrate this very important day for the
country, the have picnics. Every town and city has parades, games and
sport competition with prizes. There are a lot of fireworks too.
This holiday consists of 2 parts, each of it happens on Sundays, but in
different months. Children usually spend these days with their parents
(mothers and fathers). They give them cards, flowers, presents.
