Now all British family decorate the tree with toys, ball, sweets. And this tradition became popular in many countries.

Many British families live in the houses, so when Christmas comes they beautifully decorate their houses and flats.

• In Great Britain children believe, that Santa Claus put presents in the stockings.

• Candle is one of the Christmas traditions. People light candles when all family get together for Christmas dinner.

• Holly is the flower of the Christmas season. People in Britain like to decorate their houses with this green plant.
