1.Название мероприятия: “Американский граммофон “Song must go on”.
Данное мероприятие – командный конкурс. Класс делится на две команды.
Каждая команда сидит за своим столом. За отдельным столом сидят четыре
представителя жюри (учащиеся 11го класса). Жюри подводит итог после
каждого конкурса и записывает результаты на доске.
Цель:
Образовательная: актуализация знаний учащихся и расширение их кругозора
по теме «Музыкальная культура США»;
Развивающая: развитие социокультурной компетенции посредством
знакомства учащихся с интересными фактами по истории и культуре музыки
Соединённых Штатов Америки;
Воспитательная: воспитание эмоциональной отзывчивости и культуры
восприятия музыкальных произведений США; нравственных и эстетических
чувств: любви и уважения к музыке страны изучаемого языка.
Задачи:
• знакомство учащихся с интересными фактами по истории и культуре
музыки США, совершенствование их знаний в данной области;
• развитие умений работать коллективно;
• совершенствование навыков чтения и аудирования с целью полного
понимания содержания и извлечения конкретной информации;
• повышение интереса и мотивации к изучению английского языка;
• создание условий для развития познавательных интересов учеников и их
творческих способностей;
• развитие аналитических способностей и способностей к догадке;
• развитие коммуникативных способностей учащихся;
• совершенствование творческих навыков.
2.Тип занятия: развлекательно-конкурсная программа.
3.Формы работы обучающихся: групповая, индивидуальная.
4.Необходимое техническое оборудование:
• компьютер;
• мультимедийный проектор;
• экран;
• колонки;
• презентация;
• раздаточный материал;
• СD проигрыватель;

can also get an additional point in

first. The team which finally gets
more points will win the prize.

музыкальных стилей на
английском языке. В них же, в
произвольном порядке в
столбик, записаны названия
этих стилей. (Презентация:
слайд №3)
- So, the first task is “Guess the
style”, please, match the
descriptions of music styles with
their names. Look at the sheets of
paper that I’ve given to you. If
you are ready please sing: “We
will, we will sing you!!!”

singers and musicians in the
screen and with the help of 4
given answers (a, b, c and d) you
should guess their names. You
should think quickly. Write your
answers on the answer sheets. Is it
clear?

you have one condition, before

“Guess the style”
1) This style of music was developed between 1974 and 1976 in the United States,
United Kingdom, and Australia. It is a type of Rock Music Genre based on Garage
rock. Bands made hard-edged songs that were short, political, anti-establishment
with stripped down instrumentation.
2) This is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United
States during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily from a combination of
predominantly African-American genres such as blues, boogie woogie, jump
blues, jazz, and gospel music, together with Western swing and country music. In
the late 1940s, the lead instruments were the piano or saxophone, but these were
generally replaced by electric guitars or an electric bass guitar, and a drum kit.
3) This is a genre of music that originated in African American communities in the
United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This is a musical form that
relies on improvisation and rhythmic urgency. Improvisation is a primary way that
musicians express themselves, requiring them to be inventive and create music on
the spot. Such musical artists often do this by changing melodies rhythmically or
embellishing the melody.
4) This is a genre originated from the United States in the end of the 19th century.
The genre incorporated spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants, and
rhymed simple narrative ballads. It is characterized by the call-and-response pattern.
The "worried notes" are also an important part of the sound. It was played by
trumpet, trombone, clarinet, piano, drums, banjo, saxophone, and guitar.
5) This is a subgenre of rock music which was particularly found in the early 60s in
Southern California. It is an instrumental genre that is characterized by lyrical and
romantic mood. The main theme is beach, sun and positive emotions. With the help
of electric guitars, electric pianos and drums the musicians were trying to transfer
the sound of crashing waves and splash of water.
6) This is a genre of American popular music that originated in the Southern United
States in the 1920s. It takes its roots from the southeastern genre of American folk
music and Western music. It consists of ballads and dance tunes with generally
simple forms and harmonies accompanied by mostly string instruments such
as banjos, electric and acoustic guitars.
