Цель урока: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме "Sporting life"
Форма урока: урок-соревнование.
Задачи урока:
обобщение лексического материала по теме "Sporting life";
развитие навыков говорения (монологической речи) по теме;
повторение употребления наречий и прилагательных;
развитие коммуникативных навыков по теме "Sporting life ";
развитие творческих способностей учащихся;
развитие умения обобщать и делать выводы;
воспитание умения работать в сотрудничестве.
Ожидаемые результаты: дети повторят и закрепят лексический и грамматический материал
по теме, делая различные упражнения.
Оборудование урока: учебник английского языка для 8 класса «New Matrix», рабочая
тетрадь к учебнику «New Matrix», классная доска, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока:
1. Начало урока (2 мин.)
1.1. Организационный момент

1.2. Постановка цели
Today we have unusual lesson. Our lesson is
devoted to sport.
I offer you to have a lesson in a form of a
competition. So you should divide into two
teams. You will take a card with one of the
numbers: number one or number two. You are
the first team and you are the second team.
You should name your team with word
connected with the theme sport. It may be name
of any football team. Discuss with your partners
about name.
Our competition will consist of eight contests.
For each contest your team will get some points.
The team that gets more points at the end of the
competition wins. Are the rules clear to you? I
wish you success and good luck.

2.1. A sports report
And our first contest is to choose the correct
words to complete the text. (Учитель раздает
карточки двум командам и они там же

2.2. Different kinds of sports
The next task of our competition is to write down
different kinds of sport on the blackboard. Those
who writes more kinds of sport than another team
will win this contest. One pupil will writes one
word. Come to the blackboard one by one,
please. I’ll give you two minutes to do this task.

2.3. Sports event
The third contest is to tell about sports event you
enjoyed. Choose one person from your team who
will tell us.
2.4. Sports, players and places
The 4
contest is complete the table. The table

and places. You should fill in the blanks. Is it
clear to you? Ok. Begin, please.
2.5. Adverbs and adjectives
T: The next task is to do the following exercise.
There are six sentences. Each of these sentences
contains a mistake. You should find and correct
the mistakes.

difference between those pairs of words.
And our next contest is called free-time
activities. You should look at the pictures and
say what free-time activities do these pictures
