КВН «The Travelling from the USA to Great Britain» позволяет
Teacher: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our Club of the Merry and
Quickwitted. Today we shall travel from the USA to Great Britain, from
Washington to London. I promise our trip will be merry and interesting. You will
learn about sights in the American and British capitals. You have a good
opportunity today to see the festivities and, of course, you may take part in them.
You must know the rules. They are very easy. You may sing and dance together
with our participants and you must support them by clapping. Now let me invite
our teams.
Teacher: Let me introduce our judges. We ask you, judges, not to be too critical
and forgive our participants the mistakes they may make.

you have guessed what it is, raise your signal card. Try to be prompt and
correct. Good luck.

Teacher: The second part of this competition is the following: one participant
from each team goes on to the blackboard. Now, you are American presidents. But
which presidents exactly you will guess only after listening to some biographical
facts about each.
1) He was the first person to be elected the President of the United States. He
was born in Virginia, just south of Washington, D.C. He grew up on a large
farm. He went to school for about eight years. He especially liked to study
mathematics. He led the American army in many battles during the War of
Independence. (George Washington)

Independence was written by him. Inside his memorial there is a 19-foot
statue standing on a 6-foot pedestal. His writings are inscribed on the walls
of the Memorial. (Thomas Jefferson)
3) This President taught himself how to write and read. He became the 16
th

which freed the black in the south from slavery. You can also find his
Memorial with a huge statue of the former president inside. (Abraham
Lincoln)
4) He was the youngest President of the USA has ever had, but he was
President for only 2 years and 10 months. He was assassinated in 1963. His
aims were equal rights for all Americans- white or black- and peace in the
world. He was the founder of the Peace Corps, which sends young men and
help for very little pay. (John Kennedy)
Teacher: Now it’s time for the judges to say some words about these two
competitions.
3 In the next competition we’ll check how well our teams can spell some
words.
буквы алфавита, в данном случае буквы a, e, t, u, i и несколько других.
1) mimorial memorial, цифра 2 и буква e;
2) coust coast, цифра 3 и буква a;
3) toer tour, цифра 3 и буква u;
4) gaide guide, цифра 2 и буква u;
5) pedistal pedestal, цифра 4 и буква e;
6) nordhwest northwest, цифра 4 и буква t;
7) low law, цифра 2 и буква a.
4. Each team has 6 members. We give you six letters, for each person. With
these letters you must make up the word.
